The Club Kids Classic is BGCA’s premier pickleball fundraising series, bringing together players, partners, and supporters for a fun, competitive experience that gives back to Boys & Girls Clubs. Participants receive expert instruction and skill-building drills before putting their new skills to the test in a dynamic tournament format. Players rotate partners and opponents and move between courts based on skill level, creating an engaging atmosphere focused on learning, collaboration, and friendly competition—all while helping empower the next generation.

The Club Kids Classic is open to pickleball players ages 18+ of all skill levels—from beginners who are new to the game to experienced players looking for a fun, competitive tournament.

Registration opens at 8am with breakfast. Playing will begin at 9am with a drills clinic followed by the tournaments at 10am. 

Following the end of tournament play, we'll celebrate the winners and our fundraising impact during the closing Awards Luncheon. 

Yes! Breakfast and lunch are included with snacks and hydration provided throughout the day to keep you fueled and ready to play with purpose.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own paddles for play. For those who do not have their own paddle, kindly email Lauren Broussard at LBroussard@BGCA.org to reserve a paddle for game day.

Players use a paddle to hit a perforated ball over a net, with the goal of making it difficult for their opponent to return. For a full list of official rules, please check out the USA Pickleball Rules summary page. 

Games will play to 11 points or rotate in 8 minutes, whichever comes first. 

Winning players move up through the "river," switch partners, and play again. Teams losing move down through the "river," split partners, and play again.

This dynamic play style ensures competitive balance, and a continual chance to find wins. It also allows maximum social play.

The Club Kids Classic will be using an informal rating of Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced:

• Beginner (I have never played )
• Intermediate (I have played a few times, and have some paddle sport experience)
• Advanced (I play consistently at a competitive level)

Participants will share their experience level during registration. But remember: what matters most is having fun and raising funds for Boys & Girls Clubs of America!

The Club Kids Classic will host 3 tournaments simultaneously: 1 for Beginner, 1 for Intermediate, and 1 for Advanced. Players will be placed in pools based on their rating declaration during registration. 

Yes, there is on-site parking provided free of charge.

Yes! Photos will be shared with participants post-event.

Participants must meet the minimum fundraising amount in order to participate in the Club Kids Classic. Every dollar raised helps Boys & Girls Clubs provide young people with the opportunities, resources, and support they need to reach their full potential.

All individual participants agree to a $2,500 delayed self-pledge during registration ensuring they will raise the remaining balance within 30 days following the tournament - Thursday, April 22, 2027.

The Club Kids Classic is about playing with purpose, having fun, and supporting Boys & Girls Clubs. We ask all participants to:

• Play fairly and show good sportsmanship.
• Treat players, staff, volunteers, and guests with respect.
• Keep competition friendly and positive.
• Follow event rules and safety guidelines.
• Avoid offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate behavior.
• Follow the guidance of event staff.

Violations may result in removal from play or the event at the discretion of Boys & Girls Clubs of America and USA Pickleball staff.
